Standard Bearers and Musicians

Standard Bearers
For every 25 models in your army, you may choose to field one standard bearer. The standard bearer costs 5 points more than a rank and file trooper, and must be represented by an appropriate miniature.

Each standard Bearer gives the army 1 point of Inspiration, which can be used by any unit or model within 6".  The inspiration provided by any standard can only be used once per battle, however it is in addition to any other inspiration re-rolls, such as may be provided by the general.

The standard may be attached to a unit or model or may be used as an individual. If the standard is in a unit, the standard may only be eliminated if all the other models in the rank are eliminated first.

Musicians
For every 25 models in your army, you may choose to field one musician.  The musician costs 5 points more than a rank and file trooper, and must be represented by an appropriate miniature. The musician must be attached to an officer (either a Captain, General or Marshal) at the start of the battle.

When in base contact with an officer, the musician extends the officer's command radius by 6" (note that this does not increase the officer's leadership or inspiration).

Unlike a standard (which can be picked up by any model in the same rank as a wounded standard bearer), a musician can be eliminated by declaring an attack against him and exceeding his absorption with the damage you do.  An adjacent model cannot pick up his instrument and play it, as he lacks the skills required to do so.
