There are two types of gargoyles:
the first type (and most common type of gargoyle) spends eternity
locked in stone and overlooking courtyards. The second and elder
type of
gargoyle moves and flies as freely as the birds. The first type
are shadows of the latter, carved by simple stone masons, but the
second type were carved long ago by masons
unknown, well before the Age of Man. Tales are told of dark and
twisted trolls who make offerings to the fickle and dark demon Mizor.
They say these trolls still practice this
ancient craft, and remember the secrets of sculpting living gargoyles.
Anytime a gargoyle is out of command, it turns to stone. (Evasion
0, Absorption allowed.)
Gargoyles are not entirely reality based, and their essence is in
fact in the limbo of the Ether. Because of this, they are -10 to
C.E.R. versus non-corporeal undead and other
Ether based creatures. In addition, they are allowed full Absorption
when battling these creatures.
