E. Gary Gygax
--- Former Insurance Man, Retired Cobbler, Slacker, Amateur
Historian and Hell Raiser
A native of Lake Geneva Wisconsin, Gary is probably most famous
for writing the Foreword to Battlestorm. He has also written
several role-playing games which you have probably never heard
of.

Dean
A. Chow --- Simple Painter
Dean very rarely plays miniature games, but he has an impressive
collection of miniatures. His home in Las Cruces New Mexico
has been invaded by a legion of Battletech mechs and other
Partha miniatures, but his wife and two monstrous dog-like
beasts still put up with their lovable "Jabba the Painter".
When asked about the future, Dean will click his heels and
reply with a grim face, "I live to serve the greater
good of Ral Partha and Will Nesbitt." And to any miniature
painter, Dean offers these words of wisdom, "There is
no such thing as a bad paint job. If you're happy with it,
that's good enough."
James Evans II --- Contributing
Writer, Gamer, Redneck, and UNDEAD LORD
When Jim isn't giving someone a pee-pee wackin' at the Battlestorm
table, he's hunting, fishing, playing D & D, or raising
hell in his restored, and suped-up 1971 Chevy step-side pickup.
Jim has been a gamer for 12 years and counting. He presently
works for Memorex tapes as a fork-lift driver. Jim writes,
" You don't need Absorption to win a game of Battlestorm.""
Richard Hale --- Contributing
Writer, Token Englishman and Elder Statesman
Originally from "jolly old", and a resident of Fairfax
Virginia, Richard has been addicted to fantasy miniatures
for over twenty years --- since finding a copy of "Dungeons
and Dragons" and some Minifigs Mythical Earth figures
in a London store. His ambition is to re-fight the Battle
of Minas Tirith at 1:1 scale using 25mm figures from his private
collection. In his other life(!), he is a systems consultant
and has been known to coach soccer, in an attempt to bring
salvation to the unenlightened heathen. Richard writes, "I'm
for the common man(elf or orc) in the ranks. Give me (with
a few of my mates) a chance against everything and everyone
in the game. The problem with other games is this lack of
a chance. Anyway dragons are just over sized reptiles with
wings whose extinction is long overdue in order to conserve
the supply of maidens."
Bob Lippman
--- Editor in Chief, Goblin Painter, Trademark Attorney
Bob lives in the Adirondack Park of upstate New York with
his wife and two cats. A self-described "game junky", he
first joined the folks at Ral Partha Publishing as a miniatures
painter, and then later became the Battlestorm Editor in Chief.
When he isn't correcting Will's spelling and grammar
(or putting food on the table by working his
day job as a trademark and copyright attorney), he can
be found behind his workbench, sculpting and painting
miniatures.
Mark Mosko --- Digital Artist,
Graphics Wiz, Skinny Long-Haired Guy in Dingo Boots
Mark Mosko is attending Virginia Commonwealth University in
Richmond where he is studying 3D animation, film production
and computer graphics. Among other things, Mark is responsible
for the famed Fables stone that adorns every page of Battlestorm.
In addition to producing and writing his own film at VCU,
Mark is currently studying the combined effects of nicotine,
sleep deprivation and alcohol on the brain --- or more specifically
his own brain. Mark also has strange obsession with the medieval
church and its domination of western civilization during the
Middle Ages.
Rob Parsons --- Playtester,
Psychopath
Rob is the chief playtester for Ral Partha Publishing. His
supreme-some say anal-attention to detail is what makes him
a premiere playtester in the gaming industry. Rob is currently
slaving away as a production worker stuffing couches at a
furniture manufacturer. One day he hopes Ral Partha Publishing
will actually pay him for his work. Rob likes playing Diablo,
auction-rules Monopoly, Fables and anything with gratuitous
violence. His video picks for 1997 are Independence Day, Mission
Impossible and Screamers.
Tom
Pope --- Photographer, Painter, Hairy Guy
Tom lives in Pittsburgh with his fiancee, four cats and two
dogs. Like Bob Lippman, Tom started as a painter before moving
up to the exalted status of chief photographer. Tom enjoys
all aspects of gaming, but he is especially fond of painting
miniatures. Tom has been awarded the dubious distinction of
establishing the baseline for all the painters at RPP Tom
writes, "It should be noted that I was established as
the cut off on the bottom end. If you're a painter, ask Will
someday where you stand on the 'Tom Scale.'" Through
hard practice and attention to detail Tom has moved up to
2.9 Toms. While not painting or gaming, Tom practices Aikido
(a Japanese martial art), plays computer games, and occasionally
works his day job as a research technician at Carnegie Mellon
University.
D. Anthony Robinson
-- Contributing Writer, Miniature Painter, Long-Hair
D got involved with the Battlestorm project by
bashing Will over the head at a convention with his superior
painting skills. Actually, D volunteered to take over the
maintenance of this site (so you can gripe to him, now), as
well as moderating the Discussion Group when Will got busy
with his other projects. Somehow along the way, D managed
to get roped into keeping this website up to date, as well
as assisting with the editing and layout of the (hopefully)
soon to be released second edition of Battlestorm and
Miracles & Hexxes. When he's not busy at his "job"
at a major Internet company, D wastes his time with painting
miniatures and computer games or visiting the various Goth
clubs of Seattle.
Erik
Rutins --- Contributing Writer, Military Historian,
Dictator without a Nation
In the dark days of the early 7th decade of the 20th century,
Erik Rutins appeared in New Jersey as part of a reverse side
effect of the Androclysm. Needless to say, he was relieved
when the background of Lharna explained it all. After a life
spent gaming and working with computers, Erik logically opted
for a degree in Ancient Military History, which has earned
him an unmentionable amount of money to date. He now lives
in a forest in Vermont with his wife and assorted animals,
trying to find some way to combine all of his various hobbies,
interests and skills while continuing to devote enough time
to his computer consulting business to pay off the Elfin Mafia.
Adam Sweeny
--- Web E-Zine Editor, Printer Operations Specialist
Born and raised in "Hoosier Town", Adam works for
Indiana University's computing department in his free time,
when he's not gaming, paintballing, or writing Web pages.
He runs the online magazine The Eye of the Storm, a
fan mag dedicated to all of you Battlestormer's out there.
He's often seen exiting his molehill of an office, cursing
the daylight as he ventures into the world.
Kevin Wilson --- Contributing
Writer, Barbarian and Bone-Roller
G. Kevin Wilson was born in Florida and later moved to California,
not really noticing much difference. He got his BA in Cognitive
Science (Artificial Intelligence) from UC Berkeley, and since
then has been doing freelance game writing and design while
he looks for more steady employment doing something he likes.
To date, he's written 4 text adventures, an RPG book for Kenzer
and Co., reams of AD&D notes and materials, a dice game
called Bones (unpublished), organized both a text adventure
magazine and annual contest, and has generally made a nuisance
of himself on the Internet.
Joseph Zarebski --- Contributing
Writer, Stormrider, Bigbeard
Joseph is a freelance writer and and actor, who is between
restaurants. A resident of the Windy City, Joe considers himself
a "well rounded" gamer. (This statement is especially
accurate if you think visually.) Joseph, only had to play
Battlestorm once, before moving it to the top of his list
of favorite miniature games. Joseph, has made several contribution
to the Battlestorm discussion list, and is helping to create
a history for another part of the Battlestorm world.
